Goals of the Game[edit | edit source]

IMPORTANT NOTICE: THIS DESCRIPTION IS ONLY ENTIRELY CORRECT AFTER VERSION 3.0 AKA MINE OR DIE. SOME CONTENT ON THE AFTERLIFES WIKI IS BEING PRECREATED BEFORE THE RELEASE OF THE UPDATE.

It's obvious that in Afterlifes the main point is to survive. Especially if you're playing with Permanent Death mode turned on. You have to stash several things and establish ways to provide supplies in order to be able to survive without looting, as looting is only available at the very beginning of the game, because of the very limited availibility of loot containers.

Establishing a constant food supply is relatively simple by building a simple farm to plant some crops. Right now Farming and Hunting are the only ways of constantly gathering food, but this will soon be extended with animal breeding capabilities. Water supply is even simpler as if you have a Water Well you already established your supply. However be prepared for it to be completely exploited after a while, even if it takes quite some uses.

Safety is also an important measure. At the beginning a small wooden shack can do it, but as Matacinas get stronger and stronger, and their waves get bigger, you will need a better and stronger shelter. Using stronger materials is obviously very important, but this requires constant improvement of tools, mining and crafting. However, in the end a big Reinforced Concrete stronghold with Traps around it can withstand loads of Sieges.
